Find the level that best fits you or your group: 1 - 2 - 3 or 4?
1. No proficiency or “Beginners”
Oral production, limited to occasional, isolated words and elementary phrases. May be able to ask basic questions, read numbers, street signs or simple personal and place names

2. Limited working proficiency or “Intermediate”
Able to understand and use basic sentences and ask or answer simple questions, regardless of grammar errors and limited vocabulary.
Has an accent, though often quite faulty, is intelligible.

3. Acceptable working proficiency or “Advanced”
Has a general vocabulary, which is broad enough and rarely has to search in the dictionary.
Able to speak the language with sufficient structural accuracy, does not have a thorough control of the grammar, but has comprehension for a reasonable rate of speech.

4. “Professional” working proficiency
Able to use the language fluently which enables understanding and participation in any conversation with a high degree and precision of vocabulary.
Makes rare or minor errors of pronunciation and grammar. May be interested in conversational classes to improve vocabulary and maintain fluency.
